Not only did he pinpoint the exact location of his remains, but he also led the villagers to the murder weapon—an axe—which was indeed found.

In his book *Children Who Have Lived Before: Reincarnation Today*, German psychotherapist Trutz Hardo compiles unsettling accounts of children who recall details of past lives with astonishing accuracy. Among these cases is that of a three-year-old Druze boy, reported by Dr. Eli Lasch—a physician who helped establish healthcare systems in Gaza in the 1960s, in collaboration with the Israeli government. Before his death in 2009, Dr. Lasch shared these intriguing facts with Hardo.

An investigation that defies reason

This young boy, from the Druze community, described with unsettling precision how he had been killed in a previous life. Confident in his story, he led the villagers to the exact spot where his body was supposedly buried. They were utterly astonished when they unearthed a human skeleton… along with an axe that matched the child's description perfectly. An additional detail reinforced the credibility of his story: he had a red birthmark on his forehead, precisely where he claimed to have received the fatal blow. According to Druze beliefs, as well as other spiritual traditions around the world, these marks could be the scars of injuries suffered in a past life.

A culprit unmasked

The story doesn't end there. After recounting his murder, the child pointed the finger at a man from the village, accusing him of being his killer. Faced with this accusation, the man initially denied it categorically. But the discovery of the body and the murder weapon changed everything. Panicked, he reportedly confessed his involvement in private… This confession reignites the debates on reincarnation and the persistence of memory beyond death.

What does science teach us?

Dr. Ian Stevenson, a psychiatrist at the University of Virginia, dedicated his career to the study of past-life memories. He documented hundreds of cases of children able to describe past lives with unsettling accuracy. One phenomenon recurs frequently: these children sometimes have birthmarks located at the precise site of alleged fatal injuries. In Thailand, for example, a boy born with two birthmarks on his head claimed to have been a teacher shot dead in a past life. Historical records confirmed the existence of this teacher, murdered in the exact circumstances described by the child.
