The family of Sue and Noel Radford is one of the most famous in Britain. And how could it be otherwise, since the two of them have a total of… 22 children.
The two have known each other since childhood, their firstborn child appeared when young mother Sue was 14 years old and Noel was 18.
In total, Sue spent 800 weeks of her life pregnant – and social media comments are noting how good the mother-heroine looks. In March 2025, she celebrated her 50th birthday.
Their latest, 22nd baby, named Heidi, was born on April 5, 2020, and the parents are adamant that this will be their last child.
Both parents – Sue and Noel – were abandoned by their own parents at an early age and later grew up in foster homes. Therefore, as they explain in an interview, their desire was to raise as many children as possible in a full, happy family.
Sue gave birth to her first baby at the age of 14 – very early, but that didn't stop the young parents. They signed a civil marriage contract as soon as possible.
They married in 1993, when Sue was 18, and had nine children before Noel had a vasectomy. However, he later had a vasectomy reversal to continue having children.
During three decades of happy marriage, the Radfords had 22 children — 12 girls and 10 boys. The eldest, Chris, is 35 years old, and the youngest, Heidi, is 3.
Their second daughter, Sophie, 30, has already started her own family, with two sons and a daughter. Sophie is happy, but admits that three children are enough for her.
Initially, Noel and Sue planned to have only three children, but over time, life in a large family captivated them so much that they simply could not stop .
Parents of many children maintain their blogs on Instagram and Youtube - and fight against detractors who believe that raising so many children without violating their rights and without depriving them of parental love and attention is impossible.
The Radford family lives in a spacious, ten-bedroom Victorian house. Their daily lives are extremely eventful: Sue and Noel record videos for YouTube, where they share their daily lives, holiday moments, budget recipes, parenting tips, and even makeup secrets.
Their daily lives are like a small army:
Every morning, the family starts their day early to get everything organized — preparing breakfast, dressing the younger children, getting ready for school.
They eat 9 liters of milk and 3 boxes of cereal just for one breakfast.
Despite raising so many children, the Radfords do not rely on welfare .
They run their own bakery in Lancashire, which provides their main income.
They also earn extra money from their own YouTube channel and appearances on television shows.
The family regularly organizes vacations — sometimes they travel by minibus because a standard car is not enough.
They say the key to their happiness is their love and support for each other . Sue says that although their life is chaotic, she wouldn't trade it for anything.
