3 short questions that say a lot about our IQ. At least that's what the author of the shortest IQ test thinks.

Only 20% manage it.

intelligence test

This intelligence test is the shortest of all time – it contains only three questions. It is called the “Cognitive Reflection Test” (CRT) and was developed by American psychologist Professor Shane Frederick, Deutsche Welle reports.

With his test, the professor aims to show the difference between impulsive and deliberate reactions. Frederick proceeds from two types of mental activity: “System 1” and “System 2.” In “System 1”, impulsive thinking prevails, while “System 2” is characterized by deep thinking.

To answer the three questions in Frederick's test correctly, it is System 2 that must be activated. And for it to be activated, a person must be able to quickly determine that an impulsive answer cannot possibly be correct. And this requires reflection on one's own abilities.

Here are the three questions that make up the IQ test prepared by Professor Frederick. By the way, only 20% of participants answer correctly. Check if you are among them!
