Born in San Francisco in 1934,  Bill Bixby  developed a passion for the stage and public speaking at a very young age. After beginning his studies in California, he ultimately chose to follow his instincts and dedicate himself fully to acting. Like many in Hollywood, he started with small roles and commercials before his natural charm made all the difference.

The real turning point came in 1963 with the series  My Favorite Martian . In the role of journalist Tim O'Hara, he formed an unforgettable duo with  Ray Walston . The series was a huge success and established Bill Bixby as a key figure in American television.

Memorable roles, lasting popularity

Riding this wave of fame, the actor took on a string of projects. He charmed audiences as a tender father in  The Courtship of Eddie's Father , a role that earned him several prestigious nominations, and then surprised them as a charismatic illusionist in  The Magician .

But for an entire generation, Bill Bixby will forever be associated with Dr. David Banner in  The Incredible Hulk . His sensitive and profoundly human portrayal gave the character a soul, making each episode as moving as it was spectacular. He reprised this role in several television films, sometimes even directing, proving he was equally adept at it. A personal life marked by difficult trials

In the early 1990s, Bill Bixby learned he was facing a serious health problem. With great dignity, he chose to speak about it publicly, hoping to encourage others to take care of themselves. Despite increasing fatigue, he continued to work as long as possible, driven by his passion and supported by his loved ones.

He passed away peacefully in November 1993, at only 59 years old, leaving behind a remarkable body of work and immense public affection.
