Actor Gojko Mitic is from Serbia. Many remember him for his role as a brave Indian, whose image brought him real popularity and made him famous throughout the socialist bloc.

How Goyko became an Indian

Gojko was born on June 13, 1940 in the Yugoslav village of Strojkovce into an ordinary peasant family. When his father went to the front, his grandmother took over the entire upbringing of the child. It was she who instilled in the boy a love of sports from childhood and constantly spoke to him about the dangers of alcohol.

Goyko's entire youth was spent under the motto of a healthy lifestyle.

However, he was not destined to become a great athlete, but he managed to become a popular actor. At first, the athletic Mitich took part in films as a stuntman. Then in extras. Even in the early 70s, it was difficult to find a person who could compete in popularity with this muscular handsome man.

To star in films about Native Americans in the late 1960s, Goiko moved to Germany. The leading roles in the films "Sons of the Big Dipper" and "Chingachkook - the Great Serpent" made him a popular favorite.

He performed all the stunts himself, without the help of stunt doubles, and the most interesting thing is that in all these years he did not suffer a single fracture, even though some stunts were so difficult that they could have cost him his life.

But after a decade, the popularity of films about Indians declined. Then Goiko began to conquer the theater scene, and also participated in sports programs as a presenter.

He has never been married.

Despite his great popularity among women, the actor has never been married. Goiko himself admits that in his youth he was a great lover of women. He is credited with many novels, but he always refuses to talk about his personal life.

It is known for certain that German actress Renata Blume was his partner for two years. The actor's other love affairs remained at the level of rumors.

He himself admits that constant travel and a busy work schedule have prevented him from starting a real family. And what woman can withstand such attention from fans?

In 2007, in an interview, Mitich admitted that he has an illegitimate daughter, Natalie. The child was born as a result of a relationship with a woman named Ramona. The actor is in complete harmony with his daughter. This is certainly his most beloved woman.

Today, Natalie is 31 years old and lives in Italy. She works in tourism.

Gojko Mitić himself lives in Germany, but he often visits his daughter and they talk every day via video calls.
