An Unfaithful Husband and His Accomplice Defeat

Discover the heartbreaking tale of an unexpected betrayal, where a homecoming turns into a brutal shock. A story of changed locks, secret love, and unexpected twists.

A forgotten birthday… and a relationship in jeopardy

"Benoît, it's almost nine o'clock. You promised to be back at seven o'clock."

My partner sighed, untying his tie.

"The work was intense, Alice. I couldn't leave any earlier."

A candlelit meal was laid out on the table. A birthday cake, carefully prepared dishes… and a heavy silence.

"Today is my birthday, Benoît."

His face froze.

"Oh no... I forgot."

It was a familiar story. He was constantly absent. Intimate dinners? Forgotten. Time alone together on weekends? Nonexistent. Everything was blamed on work.

"What future?" I blurted out. "We live like strangers."

He shrugged.

"After all, I earn more than you. You don't really need me."

I was hurt. Despite everything, I hoped he could change. I didn't know that this evening would mark the beginning of the end.

The locks changed… and a betrayal revealed

Three weeks later, a migraine forced me to leave work early. When I tried to open the door, my key no longer worked.

A shiver ran through me. I inspected the handle: it had been changed. Then, a piece of paper caught my eye.

"This is no longer your home. Find somewhere else to live."

My stomach knotted. It was inconceivable.

I knocked on the door, and after a few moments, Benoît appeared.

Behind him, a woman in underwear… who was none other than Mia, his supposed “friend and colleague”.

"You're joking," I murmured.

Benoît shrugged.

"Mia and I need space. You should find somewhere else to stay."

She smiled, satisfied.

The shock was violent. But I had no intention of disappearing without saying a word.

A scheme to reclaim what belongs to me

Devastated, I took refuge at my sister Amandine's house. Upon hearing my story, she was indignant.

"This guy dares to throw you out when you've contributed to everything in this house?"

I thought about it. The house was in his name, certainly… but I had financed most of the things inside: the furniture, the appliances, the renovations.

"Did you keep the receipts?" Paula asked.

I took out my phone.

"Of course. I kept everything."

She smiled.

"Perfect. We'll show them what it feels like to lose everything."

The hour of revenge

The following Saturday, while Benoît and Mia were settling into their new life, a team of movers showed up at their door.

Benoît opened the door, his smile fading when he saw me.

"Hi, darling," I said softly. "I just came to pick up my things."

Without waiting for his reply, the movers began emptying the house.

– The washing machine? Stopped mid-cycle, leaving their clothes wet.
– The oven? Turned off in the middle of cooking their meal.
– The sofa? On which they were comfortably settled? Taken away.

Mia watched, gaping, while Benoît tried to protest.

"You can't do that!" he exclaimed.

I handed him my phone, displaying my bills.

"All of this belongs to me. Did you really think you could rob me without consequences?"

Benoît turned pale.

"And besides... changing the locks when I still have the right to live here? That's illegal. I could file a complaint. But you know what? Seeing the two of you in this EMPTY house... that's much more rewarding."

With a smile, I left, leaving behind a house as empty as their dignity.
