Imagine stepping into a private jet where every detail was designed by Elvis Presley himself. A private bathroom, an elegant bar, televisions, and even… the King's bed, still intact. No, this isn't a Hollywood movie set, but the reality of two legendary aircraft up for sale: the “Lisa Marie” and the “Hound Dog II,” true flying treasures of the legendary singer.
And good news for the most passionate (and wealthy) fans: these two devices are currently up for auction at Graceland, a must-see for Elvis admirers. The prize? A sale estimated between 9.3 and 14 million euros !
Two planes, two stories… one King

The “Hound Dog II” is a Lockheed JetStar that Elvis bought in 1975 for $900,000—a considerable sum at the time. This rather compact aircraft can carry between 8 and 10 passengers, plus two pilots and a crew member. Its range? Approximately 4,800 kilometers nonstop . Perfect for a quick trip to a concert in Las Vegas or for a getaway to Palm Springs, where the King owned a discreet residence.
But while this model is intriguing, it is the “Lisa Marie” that is attracting all the attention.
The “Lisa Marie”: the presidential plane… Elvis version

Affectionately nicknamed “the Lisa Marie” in homage to his only daughter, this aircraft is a veritable flying palace. It's a Convair 880 Jet, formerly used by Delta Airlines, which Elvis acquired in 1975 for $250,000. But he didn't stop there: the icon spent an additional $350,000 on customization work, carried out by the team that had previously worked on Air Force One.
The result? A refined layout capable of accommodating up to 28 passengers. On board, you'll find:
- A lounge with a conference area
- A stylish bar
- Four televisions
- And of course, a room with the King's bed, still preserved, protected by a tarpaulin for visitors.
Graceland, still at the heart of the legend

Since his death in 1977 at only 42 years old, Elvis Presley continues to fascinate. Graceland, his legendary Memphis residence, has become a must-see museum. Every year, thousands of fans come to pay tribute, explore its iconic rooms, and more recently… discover his private jets on display just steps from the house.
But this time, it's not just about admiring them behind a window: the planes are for sale, and their new owner will not only be able to board them, but also possess a piece of the King's intimacy, a symbol of freedom, splendor, and the American dream.
An impressive auction

According to experts at Julien's Auctions, the sale could bring in between €9.3 million and €14 million . A high figure, but commensurate with the Presley legend. And the current owner of the planes? He remains anonymous, adding another layer of mystery to this already exceptional sale.
From the glamour of the 70s to the glitz of rock 'n' roll, Elvis Presley's jets are much more than just airplanes: they are pieces of history. And while they may be changing hands, one thing is certain… the King's aura will never fade.
