This patience finally paid off! In  2015 , Anders had to liquidate his collection for a specific reason: his home insurance refused payments in coins. The result? He went to the bank with  15 full drums , weighing a total of over  350 kg .

When Anders showed up at the bank in  Ruston , Louisiana, he left the employees speechless. It took more than  five hours  to count all the coins!

The total? $5,136.14  (approximately  €4,700 ). This sum allowed him to pay off a  large medical bill .
