An American whose nose was so deformed that it affected every aspect of his life drastically changed his destiny after a chance meeting with a top plastic surgeon.

Conrado, 58, was nicknamed "Pinocchio" because of his big nose. That's why he decided to make a drastic change to his appearance.

New York artist Conrado Estrada was extremely happy with the face mask during the Covid pandemic after spending years trying to hide his prominent nose.

"They were staring at me," the man told the New York Post.

"The kids were asking their moms what happened to me – and I could hide by using a face mask the whole time."

His large nose also affected his health, obstructing his breathing, causing snoring, and simply interfering with daily activities.

"It had reached my lips and every time I took a bite while eating, it would touch the spoon," the man said.

Estrada suffered from rhinophyma, a chronic disease of the skin of the nose, characterized by an enlargement of all its elements and disfigurement of the nose.

There was no cure, and Estrada spent fruitless years seeking treatment from various doctors.

The man worked as a painter, and one day, while going on an assignment to paint a client's house, he met New York's top plastic surgeon, Dr. Thomas Romo. Thus began his fateful transformation.

The doctor immediately took notice of the sad Conrado and decided to help. He described the problem as a “smoldering infection” that, if left untreated, would progress.

Romo, who often worked pro bono to help children with facial deformities, offered to help Estrada.

"He saw me and hugged me," Estrada told the New York Post. "He said, 'I'll help you.'"

Estrada went under the knife for a few days and returned to work a month later, with a brand new nose and a new life.

Today he has a new sculpted nose, and until recently he couldn't even dream of such a thing.

The surgeon says the change is evident in his patient, who he says now walks confidently and looks as if he's just won Olympic gold.

Estrada had no words to thank his savior, saying that his case was a case of divine intervention.

"I believe God sent an angel to watch over me – and that's how I view Dr. Romo."

It's really wonderful that everything turned out so well! What do you think of the man's transformation? Do you like it?
