The American Western television series "Dr. Quinn, the Healer" was released in 1993.
The story of doctor Michaela Quinn, who leaves civilized Boston and goes to a small town in the Wild West, where every day she has to prove that she is a professional, not just a beautiful woman, captivated Bulgarian viewers as well.
The role of Dr. Quinn was made famous by actress Jane Seymour, and her favorite character from the series, Byron Sully, was played by actor Joe Lando.
Doctor Quinn and Sully together again
The leading roles in the iconic series opened the way to huge careers for Jane Seymour and Joe Landau. They still appear on screen, and the actress herself occasionally appears at social gatherings.
Additionally, Jane Seymour is very active on Instagram, where she recently posted a photo with her former on-screen partner.
Over the summer, the two had the opportunity to attend an event in Malibu. The two decided to mark the occasion with a photo together.
Despite the time that has passed, the actors continue to stay in touch and are in a great relationship.
At the event, Seymour wore a red dress, complemented by a floral top. Her look was completed with a straw hat. Joe Lando opted for a gray T-shirt and jeans.
Love-struck Joe Lando nearly broke his neck to impress Jane Seymour
Were they in love during filming? That's what all the viewers wondered. And the answer is... yes.
At the beginning of filming, Joe Lando falls head over heels in love with his partner. The age difference between them – Jane Seymour is 10 years older – does not bother him.
In one of the episodes, the actor had to jump off a horse on the move. Wanting to impress his partner, Joe didn't want a stunt double and decided to perform the stunt himself. He wanted to fly off his horse as efficiently as possible and… he overdid it.
The actor flew over the mare and landed so hard that he broke his neck – it was a miracle he didn't die.
It wasn't easy to impress Jane, but in this case Joe Lando succeeded. Her friend, upon hearing this story, said, "If you turn him down, the guy will kill himself." Thus began a real-life romance between Jane Seymour and Joe Lando.
Alas, the love story was short-lived. After the dramatic breakup, Joe even tried to leave the series, but stayed. And Jane Seymour married someone else.
Joe suffered, suffered and got married. Today the actor is 62 years old and has four children.
Jane Seymour also has four children, has been married four times and divorced four times. She is 73 years old.
And viewers are happy that their favorite on-screen couple continues to maintain friendly relations after so many years...
