A tailor from India has no hands, but that doesn't stop him from earning a living through honest work.

Madan Lal from Haryana, northern India, was born without both hands and has been living happily for 45 years. He is not poor and is respected in the area, everyone considers him an honest workaholic.

Madan does everything he needs to do with his feet, literally defying all prejudices. He is not dependent on others, but a responsible citizen who earns his own living.

As a child, Madan faced social ostracism because of his disability. No school his parents tried to apply to accepted him – no one wanted to educate or pay attention to a child with no arms.

The authorities limited themselves to a standard pension, and the boy realized that he had to do something to achieve success and not be treated like a defective person.

At the age of 23, he decided to become a tailor and sew clothes. But no one wanted to train him. All the masters in tailoring studios refused him, and it would be good if they didn't laugh in his face. No one believed that he would be able to sew clothes without hands. How would you cope with scissors, needles, a sewing machine?

But then Madan met a different man. It was a tailor from Fatehabad who asked directly, "How do you plan to sew without hands?" To which the young man replied that he just needed a chance, an opportunity to start.

The tailor agreed, and after 10 days he said: “You have talent, you will become a good craftsman.” And Madan was incredibly happy – his life had a meaning.

A year later, he opened a clothing sewing workshop in his native village. Some neighbors welcomed the bold venture, others grumbled – where has anyone heard or seen a man without arms sewing clothes? Will he make them with his feet?

As time passed, Madan's skill grew, and with it the number of satisfied customers. Madan performs absolutely all procedures, from taking measurements to working with the machine, with his skillful feet.

And today, after years of honest work, he can boldly say that he has won the trust of the people. None of those who bring their clothes for repair consider Madan Lal as disabled or helpless, but as a worthy member of society.
