My mother-in-law insisted on having my daughter every Wednesday — I installed a camera the day her behavior started to become strange

Camille thought she had found the perfect balance: her four-year-old daughter, Léa, spent the week with her childminder while both her parents worked. So, when her mother-in-law, Monique, offered to look after Léa once a week, it seemed like a good idea. More family time, fewer expenses… on paper, everything seemed ideal.

Léa becomes distant, less affectionate with her mother. Then, one evening, as she's getting ready for bed, she slips in a strange sentence:  "My friend comes when you're not here. In the video, Monique speaks to Léa with apparent gentleness:  "You remember, today is the day your friend is coming. But shhh, don't tell Mom."  A few minutes later, a woman enters. Léa runs towards her, delighted. She calls her by her first name:  Élise .

Elise. Thomas's ex. A woman Camille thought belonged to the past. And whom her daughter clearly knows very well.

A family betrayal at the heart of intimacy

Shocked , Camille confronts Monique. Far from being confused, Monique stands by her statement:  "Elise is the one who should have stayed with Thomas. It's nothing against you. She loves Léa, that's all."

But for Camille, it was too much. She immediately forbade any contact between her daughter, Monique, and Élise. That same evening, she showed the images to Thomas. A heavy silence. Averted gaze. But one certainty: he knew.

Thomas half-heartedly admits that Monique and Élise had maintained contact… and that Léa had been the bridge between them. Without her mother's consent.

Top priority: protecting his daughter

Camille takes action. She blocks Monique, forbids any further attempts to visit, and  reinforces the security of her home . Her message is clear: her daughter is not a pawn in an emotional war. Trust, once betrayed, is not easily regained—especially when it involves a child.
